Why Great Lakes Hedgehogs?

We get countless questions about our business name.. why did you choose Great Lakes Hedgehogs when you live in Texas?? Well, we weren't always located in Texas. In fact, we (meaning Dawn) are from Michigan, the Great Lakes State! When Great Lakes Hedgehogs started in 2020, we were located in Cadillac, Michigan. However, in 2023 GLHH relocated to Texas due to Dawn's ongoing health conditions. And while we could change our business name, we have found it a fun topic of conversation with our adopters!
